Exercise:
- read something for 4 minutes, then read it again within 3 minutes, 2, and 1.
You'll not understand it within 1 min; but you'll practice the habit of reading faster.
Hold the book at an angle to maximize the size of the words and maintain good breathing.
Use visual pacer.
Take advantage of your peripheral vision.
Reduce sub-vocalization:
- Don't move your lips while reading.
- Count in your mind while reading.
